August was a telling month for the East Dallas County real estate market, with 135 homes sold across two primary price brackets. The data reveals clear insights for both buyers and sellers in Lake Highlands, East Dallas, Lochwood, and Old Lake Highlands.

One other factor driving activity in August was a slight improvement in mortgage interest rates compared to earlier in the summer. This small but noticeable shift brought more buyers back into the market, particularly in the $400K–$750K range where affordability has been tight. Buyers who had been sitting on the sidelines due to high rates are re-entering, creating a healthier balance of demand across East Dallas.
